Moinho de Marim

Moinho de Marim is a tide mill located in Olhão, in the Algarve. Built in the 19th century, it is an important example of the region’s traditional architecture and one of the few structures of its kind still functioning in Portugal. The mill uses the force of the tides to grind the grain and produce flour, being an important part of the history of local agriculture. Currently, it is possible to visit the mill and learn more about its operation and historical importance.
